Trauma & PTSD
You might have convinced yourself it wasn’t that big of a deal, or that other people have had it way worse. But trauma is subjective, and it is relative to the person and their experiences leading up to the event. Any disturbing event with a lasting negative effect on the self and psyche can be defined as trauma. Unresolved past trauma frequently bleeds into the present, altering brain chemistry and trapping the nervous system in a chronic state of survival. This causes daily triggers that feel as though the original threat is happening right now. In our work together, we will identify the sources of these patterns.
Attachment Trauma
Attachment is the deep emotional bond we form with primary caregivers as infants. Childhood attachment ruptures create relational templates—often called internal working models—that subconsciously guide adult interactions. When a child’s need for safety is repeatedly disrupted by caregivers, they adapt by developing insecure attachment styles, which can manifest in adulthood as fear of abandonment, emotional suppression, or difficulty trusting others. I provide attachment-based and trauma-informed therapy to help adults resolve relational injuries by identifying wounds that are the source of dysfunctional patterns
Self-Esteem
As we ascend through our developmental stages, we are tethered to a notoriously fickle companion—self-esteem. While it provides the crucial foundation we need to grow, it frequently fades, often right when we need it most. The problem is— As we grow, the messages we internalize from the world and those around us can damage our self-worth. These external perceptions slowly become our self-concept, causing us to unintentionally neglect our relationship with our own self-esteem. Together, we will look at the experiences that have damaged your self-esteem and work to heal from those events.
Anxiety & Panic
Common signs of anxiety include excessive or uncontrollable worry, feeling restless, on edge, or irritable, and a constant sense of impending danger, panic, or doom. In other words, your “What-iffer” is noisy and relentless. Together, we will identify the root of your anxiety, break the cycles that fuel it, and build practical tools to calm your mind and body. The goal: to help you feel grounded, confident, and in control, so you can face challenges with clarity and reclaim your peace.
